When I colour I make a list of things to check for my colouring, for instance
"dont forget: hat, bunch of scribbles on left, hair strands" and it helps me to not lose track of where i need to colour :) I also like to get a solid colour in all the inner lineart to make sure everything is coloured

What an amazing demonstration of colour theory! Lovely! I hope you do more like this in the future. The lineart looks great, I like how you broke up the lineart on the socks to make the stripes not so overwhelming. Only thing I could possibly think of to improve this would be to use a smaller pen for the background to make a even higher contrast between the distances of this image.
